Pure genius! You must use this picture in your 2010 calender. I suggest January as it is a shitty month and my ears get cold.

Ah, Madeley, there you are.

I think you may stumbled upon a practical, everyday use for all those dead squirrels you've been stockpiling.

Earwicga, I've already done September and October, so perhaps I'll use it for November, since it's one of the colder months.

Hogansgoat, sadly not. The squirrels were delicious. Judy has a way of making their tails nice and crusty.

No chance of getting one's paws on the recipe, I suppose.

Mrs H, or the Boot, as I like to call her, scrubs up nicely when she makes the effort, and keeps the starlings off the raspberries, but she's a train wreck when it comes to the culinary arts.

Crusty squirrel tail sounds like a banquet after twenty years of the Boot's baked Alaska.

She uses real Alaska and she won't be told.

I have shamelessly stolen this image and put it on my blog as I love it!

Hogan, I've asked Jude to write down the recipe. If I get it, I'll post it.

Earwicga, delighted that you love it. I'm considering buying the rights to the meerkat hat a selling them on the highstreet.
